Seniors Cyber Security Needs
Seniors trusting
Seniors are some of our most “at risk” populations in Delaware. They have grown up in a world that has swiftly changed from the “good ole days” and, where identity security goes, some have been left behind.
To address their special needs, We Know Cyber recommends ensuring your loved ones understand the importance of password security and practices. That’s the highest concern for them, as they log in to their financial institutions and health care sites, often reusing unsecured passwords, use important date-linked passwords, or spend time on social media where the vulnerabilities are increased exponentially.
Teaching your senior family members, neighbors, and friends how to secure their credentials (user names and passwords) and showing them how to use multi-factor authentication can put them on a strong cyber footing with the best of us.
If you know of a community or group that would like some training, We Know Cyber offers free on-site trainingĀ for groups as part of our commitment to Delaware communities. Every link in their network can put them at risk, so let’s each do our part to help them and secure their identities and information.
